SMT. LALITA DEVI SABOO MEMORIAL TRUST
Location: Nawa City, District Nagaur (Rajasthan, India)
Established in 2001 in memory of Smt. Lalita Devi Saboo, mother of our promoter Shri Girdhar Saboo, this trust is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Department, Government of India. Our primary mission is to serve communities in and around Nawa City by providing essential services in healthcare, education, water supply, upskilling and more.
Key Social Services
- Medical Bank at Nawa City Hospital: Opened a Medical Bank at Nawa City Hospital to support patients who cannot afford treatment or medications.
- Drinking Water Services: Provide clean drinking water to both local residents and cattle by maintaining tractors and water tankers.
- Educational Support: Offer financial help for school fees, books, uniforms, and shoes to underprivileged students.
- Cattle Fodder Support: Supply fodder and water for goshalas (cow shelters) and roaming cattle at designated drinking water points.
- Funeral Services: Provide firewood and basic provisions at funeral grounds for families in Nawa.
- Craft School (Stitching & Handicrafts):Conduct regular sewing and handicraft classes for girls and young women, empowering them with income-generating skills.
Other Welfare Programs
Wellness Centre: Provides Equi-Pressure beds and other equipment essential for treating critical illnesses and supporting both senior citizens and the younger generation.
Support for Differently Abled Persons: Refer individuals needing polio surgeries or rehabilitation to Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur. To date, 25 people have regained the ability to walk comfortably after successful treatment.
Driving Licence Camps: Conducted in partnership with the State Government’s Ministry of Transport. Over 500 tractor and jeep drivers have received licenses, supporting the salt-transport industry in Nawa.
School Construction & Classroom Support: Built two classrooms in the nearby village of Govindi, Rajasthan. Donated classroom furniture and a computer to local schools (Sharda Bal Niketan and Shyam Bal Niketan, Nawa–Kuchaman Road).
Lalit Palace
Surrounded by the Aravali Hills on the banks of Sambhar Salt Lake, Rajasthan, Lalit Palace is our primary welfare facility spread across 7.5 acres and operated by the Smt. Lalita Devi Saboo Memorial Trust.
The main building has a stately structure comprising 3 floors: ground plus two and a basement. Lalit Palace Presently has 20 air-conditioned deluxe rooms and 7 suite rooms, with running hot and cold water round the clock. There is a lift facility available and a reverse osmosis water treatment plant of 2000L per hour capacity to provide safe drinking water for the residents.
The huge auditorium on the ground floor has an area of 6500 sq. feet and 23 feet height – suitable for all kinds of community and welfare functions and hosting dignitaries. There is a substantial parking lot of 11,000 sq. meter and gardens and a well equipped outer kitchen for hosting all kinds of events for the community.
Sambhar Lake (2 km): A popular film location for epic movies like Jodha Akbar, Gulaal, and Delhi-6. Sambhar Lake is also the raw salt source of our very own Surya Salt.
Kuchman (15 km): Known for its fort (seen in movies like Jodha – Akbar and Drona), sand dunes (9 km away), and famous temples (Hanuman Temple, Jain Temples)
